Notification: Preparations for the Peaceful Mangrove Festival
On 19 February 2025, the Ministry of Environment issued a notice on the organization of the Peaceful Mangrove Festival, which is taking place from 28 February to 02 March 2025 at Koh Sralao village, Koh Kapi commune, Koh Kong district, Koh Kong province.
According to the notification, the festival has four main objectives: (1) to raise awareness about the importance of mangroves as a vital ecosystem; (2) to promote cooperation in mangrove conservation; (3) to promote the value of peace with mangrove forests as they are a symbol of harmony between humans and nature; and (4) to promote the potential of natural resources, especially mangrove forests.
